How to Register for Classes and Camps

Registration is done online through our website or by calling the Box Office at (406) 728-7529. We do cap the number of children involved based on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a registration is full, an online waitlist is activated. As spots become available, they are filled beginning at the top of the waitlist.

After submitting your payment for registration, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to complete the student information form. Please fill this out promptly so we have your student’s information (emergency contact, allergies, etc.).

To apply for our Performing Arts Camp (PAC) please click here.

Seating

Most Youth Series performances take place on our main stage. Play in a Day and Shakespeare Trunk Show performances will take place in other performance spaces in the building.

Our theatre has a seating capacity of 304 (296 chairs and 8 wheelchair accessible seats). The front row (Row C) in the Orchestra section sits at the foot of our proscenium stage with each row slightly elevated moving toward the back of the theatre for optimal sightlines. Our Balcony section looks down over the Main Floor section, and the Left and Right sections are separated from the Main Floor by a two-lane aisle with handrails.

Click here to view the mainstage seating chart.

Accessibility

Missoula Children’s Theatre provides accessible parking spaces, elevator lifts, ramps, handrails in the theatre, and automated lobby doors. To reserve accessible seats or request other access accommodations for MCT performances, please call Patron Services at (406) 728-7529 Mondays-Fridays 12-5PM. Assistive Listening Devices are available at the Box Office before performances. Restrooms are located off the main floor of the lobby past the water fountains. Elevators are located beyond the stairwell in the lobby. For inclusive restrooms or additional assistance, please ask an usher or staff member.

Ticket Exchanges and Refunds

All other ticket refunds or exchanges will only be accepted at least 24 hours prior to the performance time. A $2 fee, per transaction, will be assessed for all exchanges. Refunds will be issued in the form of original payment, gift card, or as a donation to MCT. Exchanges can be used toward future tickets within the current season or refunded as a gift card to be used at a later date. Refunds and exchanges will not be honored within 24 hours of performance time.

Cancelled Performances

In the event of a cancellation, an email will be sent to all ticket holders, and posts will be made on our website and social media. Depending on the time of cancellation, we will make every effort to call all ticket holders. If a performance is cancelled, ticket holders may reschedule their tickets for a different performance (subject to availability), exchange their tickets for an MCT gift card, receive a refund, or donate their ticket amount back to MCT.

Parking

MCT has a parking lot right next to our main lobby entrance to the building (which has three accessible spots reserved). The entrance to the parking lot is on Main Street between Madison St. and North Adams St. MCT is conveniently located in Missoula’s downtown area where free street parking is also an option in non-metered areas. Additional parking is available at the Roam apartment complex parking structure a few blocks away on Front St. For more information about Roam’s parking, click here.

Playbill

We’ve gone green! The playbill will be projected on the large screen in the theatre and is available to scan and download to your phone via QR code in the Lobby. The links to the digital playbill and a print-at-home playbill will also be emailed to ticket holders along with important information about the performance before they attend the show. Large-print playbills are available at the Box Office upon request for each production.

How To Get Involved

Come PLAY with us! MCT has many opportunities for volunteers! We have artistic opportunities such as acting, working on a crew, costuming, set building, set and lighting design, as well as Front of House opportunities such as ushering and working in concessions. Many of our volunteer opportunities also get you free attendance to a performance as a thank you for sharing your time and talents. No matter your skill level, we have a way for you to join the MCT family.

To become a volunteer, sign up here. If you have any questions, feel free to email our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@mctinc.org

Concessions for Performances

Concessions will be available for all ticketed Youth Series performances. We will have bottled water, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, coffee, tea, hot chocolate (seasonally), and cookies (gluten-free option available). Outside food/beverages are not allowed. The bar will not be open for Youth Series performances.

Showtimes and Performance Runtimes

The Box Office and Lobby are open to patrons one hour before showtimes. Seating will begin approximately 30 minutes before the start of the show. For those needing special assistance, please contact the Box Office.

Youth Series performance showtimes and run times vary depending on the show. Run times are listed on each production’s webpage and ticketing page.

Getting Your Tickets

At the time of purchase, you have the choice to have your tickets emailed to you or held at Will Call. If you have your tickets emailed, there will be a PDF of your tickets attached to your order confirmation email. No need to pre-print your tickets (unless you prefer to). You can simply show the PDF to an usher in the lobby when entering the theatre! If you requested Will Call when ordering your tickets, they can be picked up at the Box Office window during Box Office hours, Monday-Friday 12-5PM and 1 hour before showtime.

Content Advisory/Age Restrictions

Missoula Children’s Theatre offers a variety of entertaining shows each season. The themes and age appropriateness of each show vary. Most of our Youth Series productions are Rated G and fun for the whole family! When we rate a Youth Series production PG, we will include a content warning. You can find ratings and specific content information listed on each production’s web page, by visiting the Youth Series Content Advisory, or by calling the Box Office.

Photography and Video Policy

The taking of photographs or video during our performances is strictly prohibited due to licensing and copyright laws. Thank you for your cooperation!

Late Seating Policy

MCT makes every effort to begin performances on time. For the safety of our patrons and performers, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the staff.

Sold Out Shows

In the event that a performance is sold out, the Box Office will activate a waitlist that is first come-first served. If seats become available, the Box Office will contact waiting patrons beginning at the top of the list. To be placed on a waitlist, please call the Box Office at (406) 728-7529.

Lost and Found

Any found items will be taken to the Box Office and placed in our Lost and Found. Any unclaimed items will be kept in the Lost and Found for one month.

Illness/Mask Policy

For Students: Masking in the MCT facility is always an option. Those who wish to mask are welcome to do so; masks will be available upon request. Please note that rehearsals are closed to parents/guardians to reduce distractions. All children and staff are expected to stay home if they are showing symptoms of illness, especially COVID-19.

For Audiences: The health department and CDC are recommending talking with your healthcare provider about whether you need to wear a mask and take other precautions if you’re at high risk for severe illness. MCT is following their guidelines, and masks are optional within our facility. Masks are available to anyone who wishes to wear one. We encourage those with symptoms to stay home, and call the Box Office at (406) 728-7529 to re-book your tickets.
