Ryan grew up in Missoula, and on the MCT stage. She took the stage in children’s shows (her first show was Pinocchio), Community shows, and Performing Arts Camp (PAC). She performed in the Front Street Theater and in the Wilma before the current theater was built. Speaking of which… as the child of a long-standing MCT board member, Ryan grew up stuffing fundraising envelopes and raising money so that MCT could buy the old “Central School,” and then build the current theater. Her name graces the arm of one of the chairs in the theater (along with her brother), and her photo is somewhere on the walls of a staircase, among the media clippings.
Ryan joined the MCT Board of Directors about 10 years ago, and she loves being a part of the magic that is MCT, even now that she is a “boring” adult. Today, Ryan is mom to 2 teenagers, and has been married to her husband, Terry, for 18 years. During the day, she is an attorney and partner at Christian, Samson & Baskett, PLLC. Ryan is thrilled to take the reins as President of the Board of Directors, and looks forward to helping to steer the company as we continue through the next 50 years of our history.
