IRA Giving

Donate Donate

If you’re age 70½ or older and have a traditional IRA, there’s a powerful way you can support the Missoula Children’s Theatre — and it may offer you meaningful tax benefits at the same time.

It’s called a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD, and it allows you to make a donation directly from your IRA to a qualified nonprofit like MCT. If you’re subject to Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) — which begin at age 73 — a QCD can satisfy all or part of that annual requirement without increasing your taxable income.

Keep reading below to learn more about how
to make this kind of tax-friendly donation.
