February is all about love. At the Missoula Children’s Theatre, we see the meaning of “love” in many different, but powerful, ways.
Theatre has a way of creating instant connections. These connections happen when a group of people meet for the first time and build something meaningful together, embracing vulnerability in their performances and lifting one another up along the way. These connections are also created within the audience members who identify with a story and leave feeling moved.
Whether you’ve been on the stage, worked behind the scenes, or been an audience member, you know that a production simply cannot happen without the strong connections among cast, crew, directors, designers, and volunteers. There’s a special bond formed through the shared work of bringing a story to life, one that’s impossible to replicate and is unique to each production.
At the same time, connections at MCT aren’t only formed with others; they also happen within yourself. Theatre fosters a powerful mind-body connection, inviting creativity and self-expression in ways that they may never have experienced before. Being part of a production can be mentally and emotionally healing, building confidence and teaching us to be a little kinder to ourselves. It’s a kind of love that lives at the very heart of theatre.
None of these connections, friendships, or love stories would be possible without the generosity and love of MCT’s supporters and donors. You are an essential part of what brings people together at the Missoula Children’s Theatre.
Because of your love for MCT, you make this work possible and help MCT continue its mission of empowering individuals through performance and theatre education. We are so proud of the love that surrounds our organization, and it exists because of every single person who walks through our doors. Happy Valentine’s Day!
