Gordon Maus was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. While sitting around for two days filming a twenty second scene, Gordon discovered MCT on the set of the movie, A Thousand Pieces of Gold. He joined the Missoula Children’s Theatre staff in 1989, when he walked in off the street after 5 years as a co-director of Kinderhaus Daycare in Stevensville, Montana. Jim and Michael needed someone to play the role of Hans Christian Anderson, and Gordon was just the right guy. Gordon has two children and two grandchildren. He plans on spending the rest of his life with Quinty Smith. His goals are to set up 100 International Residency weeks in Central America and Europe, and to start a MCT TAD Alumni Association with scholarships for communities in need.
